Allied Cargo Services Lda, is a Marine and Cargo Survey Company, based in Mozambique and predominantly involved in East and Southern Africa, but accept assignments anywhere in the world. Our client base include South African and European underwriters and brokers as well as commodity traders.

Allied Cargo Services, Lda (ACS) was established in response to a growing demand for Marine Surveyors, Risk Managers and logistics consultants in Mozambique. Our company currently has 9 associates with broad based experience in cargo and marine surveying, risk management, logistics planning and management and claims management and handling. 

Additionally, we employ six support staff and a fixed casual staff (Tally Clerks & Supervisors). We have an ongoing training and development program aimed at developing and training our own staff, already experienced in the field, and to date have promoted 16 of our trainees to Supervisory positions and have appointed five of our casual staff to permanent Superintendent posts.

In addition to providing full claims handling, including instructing and briefing local lawyers whenever required, we are also able to assist in putting up the required Salvage and General Average guarantees in order to avoid arrest or delay of ship and/or cargo and settling salvage and General Average claims.

In addition to this, we are also in a position to provide complete management of major casualties 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. We also arrange and supervise the transhipment and salvage operations, and where necessary can assist with the chartering of substitute vessels or tugs, as required.
